Songfest brings together young people from the Cairns region for a joyous celebration of music and song. Conducted by Mark O’Leary OAM, the massed voices of the Songfest Choir are joined in 2023 by guest choir Young Voices of Melbourne and composer and multi-instrumentalist Malcolm Dalglish.
Hosted by the Gondwana Indigenous Children’s Choir and their Artistic Director, Lyn Williams AM, the choirs perform a wide variety of music, including works sung in Language.
