Gondwana Choirs Access Fund

Every young voice deserves the opportunity to be heard

At Gondwana Choirs, we believe that every child and young person should have the opportunity to experience the joy of singing, regardless of their financial circumstances.

For more than three decades, Gondwana has nurtured generations of young singers, providing exceptional musical education, performance opportunities and a community in which lifelong friendships are formed.

The Gondwana Choirs Access Fund builds on our longstanding commitment to accessibility, strengthening our capacity to provide financial assistance and ensuring that more young Australians can participate in our programs.

Opening doors for young singers

For many years, Gondwana Choirs has provided scholarships, bursaries and other forms of financial assistance to help young people participate in our programs.

However, program fees, travel and touring expenses can present significant barriers for families.

Through the Access Fund, we aim to expand the financial assistance available to young singers, ensuring that more children and young people can experience the transformative benefits of music education, performance and belonging to a musical community.

A Lasting Legacy: Larry Boyd

The Gondwana Choirs Access Fund has been established through a generous foundational gift from the estate of Larry Boyd, whose contribution to Gondwana extends far beyond his financial generosity.

A Life Member of Gondwana Choirs, Larry was instrumental in shaping the organisation during its formative years. His influence helped establish the culture and values that continue to define Gondwana today.

Larry’s extraordinary generosity marks the beginning of a new chapter in our commitment to accessibility, creating a lasting legacy that will benefit future generations of young singers.

Your donation will help us build on Larry’s legacy, remove financial barriers and open the door to exceptional musical opportunities for more young Australians.
