Our song has been heard across Australia for 30 years. Our song is new, inclusive and joyful, bringing young people together to create beautiful music and form life-long friendships. Our song is led by Lyn Williams, whose vision and expertise with working with young people has created the most dynamic performing choirs in the country.
Our uniquely Australian voice has taken our songs, our stories and our cultures to the world, from the Sydney Opera House to the Royal Albert Hall; from the Philharmonie in Berlin to the Kennedy Centre for the Performing Arts in Washington DC. We are the leader in Australian choral performance.
We are proud that our songs give voice to young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians, who tell their stories in Indigenous languages and are pioneering a new contemporary style that blends choral music, electronica with stunning visuals, through works such as Spinifex Gum.
Young Australians who have sung our songs now work in opera houses, orchestras and bands worldwide. They are composers, conductors, music teachers, pop artists and arts workers. They are the next generation of audiences and advocates for the arts.
Gondwana Choirs’ Innovations Patrons transform our aspirational ideas into daring and challenging artistic projects. They enable Gondwana Indigenous Children’s Choir to be offered at no cost to choristers or their families; they will be instrumental as we expand the Sydney Children’s Choir into Western Sydney where our Latitude approach supports artists of culture collaborating with refugee children; and they almost entirely fund our ambitious commissioning program of new works from emerging and established Australian composers.
Become an Innovation Patron today and enable Gondwana Choirs to share our songs with the world. Help make our songs sing for the next 30 years.
