Join two of Sydney’s most well-known and exciting performing groups as they collaborate for the first time in an evening of choral and instrumental chamber music. The Sydney Children’s Choir will bring its trademark crystal-clear sound and ability to perform music of great complexity to the rich and vibrant Australia Ensemble, the country’s leading chamber music group.
The program is named after the significant composition by Gondwana Choirs’ Founder and Artistic Director Lyn Williams OAM. Other works being performed include Songs of Innocence and Joy by Paul Stanhope, Artistic Chair of the Australia Ensemble and long-time associate of Gondwana Choirs.
Two chamber music masterpieces also feature on the program – the late Australian composer Roger Smalley’s Piano Quintet and Johannes Brahms’ mighty String Sextet in G.
