TOP CHILDREN’S CHOIR HEADS FOR MACKAY, QUEENSLAND
Some of the country’s finest young choristers gather in Mackay next week to perform in the Mackay Uniting Church on Saturday 6 October at 5pm.
The performing ensemble is Gondwana Voices – an eminent national choir for treble singers. The famous Cairns-based Gondwana Indigenous Children’s Choir will also be involved in the Mackay visit and through a joint workshop for local children.
At the concert, the Gondwana Voices choir will be joined on stage by the Mackay children who took part in the workshop. So far 20 Mackay children have signed up but there is room for 10 more!
To join in children need to be between 10 and 16 years, they must have their parents’ permission and most importantly love to sing! Applicants can fill in a form online – https://survey.zohopublic.com/zs/8RB3Jp and hope that there are still places left!
By submitting the form, a parent/guardian gives permission for their child/ward to participate in the workshop on Saturday 6 October 2.30-4pm and perform in the concert at 5pm the same day. the parent/guardian also consents to Gondwana Choirs filming, recording and/or photographing their child/ward for promotional, marketing and other purposes associated with the program.
