Join the youngest choristers of Sydney Children’s Choir for their final performance of the year.
Sydney Children’s Choir Mini 2016 is based on Quincy’s Quest, an adaptation of the 1979 Film of the same name, directed by Robert Reed, and starring Tommy Steele. The story follows a group of unwanted toys in a department store, known as ‘rejects’ who are destined to be burned in the store’s furnace on Christmas Eve. They are considered ‘rejects’ because they are a little bit broken, or dirty, or simply not wanted anymore.
One of the rejects, a doll named Quincy, goes on a quest to find Santa, located at the top of the store in ‘Santa’s Grotto’, as he is the only one who can save them.
Will he make it? You’ll have to come along to find out!

This year, Mini Christmas is held for the first time at Sir John Clancy Auditorium at UNSW in Kensington. The auditorium is much more spacious than in previous years, and so there are no caps on tickets. There will also be a special area in the auditorium set aside for young brothers and sisters to watch the concert from and participate themselves!
Parking is free in around the university on Sundays and the closest entrance to the auditorium is Gate 9 on High St. There are plenty of cafes and shops to explore on nearby Avoca St between chorister drop off and concert time.
