Rowan JohnstonConductor

    Rowan Johnston is HOD Music at Westlake Girls High School in Auckland, New Zealand where her conducts the internationally award-­‐winning choir Choralation. He sings with the national chamber choir, Voices New Zealand and is a former member of the musical staff for the New Zealand Secondary Students Choir. In 2011 he conducted choirs for the IRB Rugby World Cup. In 2014 his choir was placed 1st at the Summa Cum Laude Festival in Vienna. They are the most successful choir in the history of the NZ National Secondary Schools Choral Festival (the NZCF Big Sing). In 2015 his was chorus master for the Dr Who Symphonic Spectacular with the NZSO and was guest conductor for the NZCF Big Sing Finale Gala Concert. He is a Choral Mentor for the NZ Choral Federation Association of Choral Directors and is in much demand as a clinician and conductor. Rowan continues to record regularly for both TV and Radio.
