Kaleidoscope
Wednesday 17 January, 7PM
Kick off the 2018 Festival of Summer Voices with a showcase of the five Gondwana National Choirs ensembles: Junior Gondwana, Gondwana Novus, Gondwana Voices, Gondwana Singers and Gondwana Chorale.

Explorations
Thursday 18 January, 5:30PM
New at National Choral School 2018 will be a variety of special performance projects, ranging from taiko drumming to Indonesian dance to traditional Bulgarian singing. Hear the difference between a newly composed work, music of the classical period and musical theatre in this unique showcase.

The Song Company
Friday 19 January, 7PM
Gondwana Choirs is pleased to present guest artist ensemble The Song Company in concert. The Song Company’s repertoire covers vocal music from the 10th century to contemporary works, and is unique in its stylistic diversity. The Company remains at the forefront of contemporary vocal music through an extensive commissioning program and collaborations with artists and composers of the highest calibre from around the world. Joining them onstage will be Gondwana Chorale choristers from the Renaissance consort singing special performance project.

Festival Closing Gala
Saturday 20 January, 7PM
The Festival of Summer Voices culminates with our grand finale concert. Featuring all five Gondwana National Choirs ensembles, this evening of song will include two new commissions: Lie Light Dear Heart from Kenneth Lampl and Gather the Stars from Australian composer Daniel Brinsmead.

Choral Ideas Symposium for Music Educators
Designed for music teachers, workshops will focus on choral music in a learning environment. Lectures from leading music educators will be complemented by masterclasses with respected choral conductors and participants will have access to rehearsals.

Choral Explorations for Everyone
On Friday, 19 January, we will throw open the doors to National Choral School with four fun workshops for all ages. Come and try taiko drumming, Indonesian dance, music of Eastern Europe and be part of a special festival choir for an afternoon!
